We arrived Friday afternoon, and spent the entire night enjoying cocktails and appetizers in front of that amazing fire. Saturday we were lazy, enjoying having no schedules at all. Tyler even read the newspaper!
We decided to pass on touring the Biltmore House this time, since we saw it twice the weekend he proposed. So we hopped on a bus and went to a newer area of the property called Antler Village. It is the area that encompasses the Winery, Cedric's Tavern (where we ate lunch), and the Outdoor Adventures area where you can sign up for fly fishing, shooting, and Land Rover expeditions.
After we had a yummy lunch at Cedric's Tavern, we did a little shopping and toured the winery. The tour was very informative and our guide was knowledgeable. The we did a free tasting of their wines, which Tyler even enjoyed! After that, it was a little after 2 so we headed back to the Inn. It was such a beautiful day, we decided to walk back and settled down in front of the fire again. That evening we went to a yummy dinner at The Bistro, a little restaurant on the property. Then went back to Inn and settled in front of...you guessed it...the fireplace :)
The weekend went by so quickly. We hated to leave and decided we would make it an annual trip.
On the way home we stopped in Greenville to see our friends Beth and Adam. It was great to see their home and get a little tour of Greenville, which is so cute! Loved the downtown area.
Then it was back home to Atlanta. It was a great weekend and we are already trying to decide when we will go back!
