Tyler and I spent this past weekend in the mountains with a great group of friends and had so much fun, it reminded me of the good ol' college days!
I took Friday off so that we could get up to the cabin early enough to unpack, etc. And the Paul & Kalley, and Brian & Crystal arrive around 6 to kick off the weekend...Greg & Amber came on Saturday. We had a great time relaxing on the wrap around porch until we headed out for dinner. There is a great restaurant near the cabin off the Toccoa River and it is turning into a tradition that we go there on Friday nights, and then cook the rest of the time. This weekend was no exception. The food was delicious, and the restaurant recently added a bar down stairs that is super cute!
On Saturday we met Greg & Amber at the Wolf Mountain Winery for some tastings. It was a blast, and the scenery is amazing...and shockingly, so is the wine! Here are some pictures from the winery:
After Wolf Mountain, we went to Frog Town winery. The set up is a little more informal, but the view still was great and they have an awesome deck that you can buy bottles of wine and sit outside enjoying the view, and the company.
Once we returned to the cabin we cooked dinner and ventured across the street to the neighbors. They have turned their garage into Party Central...seriously! There are 4 standing microphones, karaoke, fire pits...you name it! And if you see the big green light on outside the garage you know there is a party going on and everyone is welcome! We would have taken pictures, but this being a family-friendly blog decide against it! LOL! But it capped off a great weekend and we are already planning our return trip to get in some tubing!
